Follycon won the bid in 2016 for Eastercon 2018, unopposed, and was held at the Majestic Hotel, Harrogate. The name was a homage to a previous Eastercon, Follycon, also held with April Fool's Day on the Sunday, 30 years before in 1988. GoH were Kieron Gillen, Christina Lake, Nnedi Okorafor, and Kim Stanley Robinson.
